A New Jersey native, Owner and Chef Erin Shambura is excited to once again be working alongside Owner and Beverage Director Joe Campanale. Fausto is a continuation of the relationship they built during Erin's six year tenure at L’Artusi. Erin's extensive travels through Northern Italy coupled with her experience working in some of NYC’s most respected kitchens, including The Mercer Kitchen, Lupa and Del Posto, have honed Erin’s love and appreciation for Italian cuisine. She aims to capture and enliven the spirit of Italy’s great regional dishes, bring them home to Brooklyn, and present them in a truly vibrant fashion using the best local and seasonal ingredients available.
Ahmon Williams, General Manager/Partner
An industry veteran with more than two decades of experience, General Manager and Partner Ahmon Williams brings to Fausto an unparalleled level of professionalism, attention to detail and warmth. In 2008, Ahmon joined the opening team at L’Artusi, and was later named General Manager, where he worked closely with Chef Erin Shambura and Owner/Beverage Director Joe Campanale. He is passionate about providing genuine hospitality, and is dedicated to building relationships with our guests and our community.
Joe Campanale, Beverage Director/Owner
Joe Campanale is a restaurateur, beverage expert, author and radio host. A native New Yorker, Joe opened his first restaurant, the West Village mainstay dell’anima, at only 23 years old. It quickly became a downtown dining destination, beloved for its excellent food and Italy-centric wine list. Following its immediate success, he debuted L’Artusi in 2008 and Anfora in 2010, both celebrated for their casual elegance and neighborhood-focused approach to hospitality. Italian food, wine, and the generosity of spirit so widely associated with Italy’s top dining establishments has been at the heart of each of his endeavors, and the same will be true at Fausto, opening in Brooklyn in December 2017. Joe has been named a Food & Wine magazine Sommelier of the Year and has been featured on numerous “30 under 30” lists, including Forbes and Zagat. He has written about wine for various media outlets and has hosted more than 200 episodes of "In the Drink" on the Heritage Radio Network. He lives in Brooklyn and is an avid runner.
